The Faculty of Economics has the most simulation-based teaching. There are two Escape Rooms; two business games called "General Management" and " Management Game GM"; the Learning Lab on Product-Service-Systems: Transdisciplinary Learning-Lab, which also belongs to the business game category; the conversation simulation "The Difficult Conversation" in the module "Fundamentals of Human Resources and Leadership Research and another business game called "Business Start-Up II", but this one is foreseen for the Master. The teaching formats of economics listed above can be found in the UFO building.
Through the interactive learning lab, students from different disciplines are prepared for new work contexts, thereby strengthening their ability to act. Learning about and exploring new business models enhances the ability to innovate. During these processes, the students systematically deal with scientific issues. The examination of scientific questions promotes the ability to reflect.
The simulation depicts challenges that the students may be confronted with in their professional careers. They learn which hurdles and problems founders can encounter and how they can organize themselves in a team in order not to lose sight of the founding goal.
The practical experience of challenges, for example, in problem-oriented communication and dynamic management, as well as dealing with scarce financial resources or the emerging conflicts in the founding team and their management under time pressure strengthen and teach a business graduate for the professional future. Therefore, simulation-based teaching offers the perfect complement to theoretical teaching in many areas.
