The real time electrooptical processing software system constructed in the PACE project will be extended to handle the new module features and communication structures developed in ECCell. In particular the collective phase immobilization via scpDNA and electrochemical manipulations of pH and redox chemistry need to be supported by integrated electrode switching protocols. The primary novel task here is to develop feedback control programs which couple the complex multicolor and spatiotemporal optical feedback from a prospective ECCell to generate coordinated pulse sequences on multiple electrodes. This is the electronic genome signature characterizing the function of a particualr electronic cell. It's description (source code) is an inheritable (genomic) property which can be transferred from a cell to its offspring at neighboring locations.
