Does C–H activation sometimes not feel like an art in itself? The cover art illustrates how the outcome of a vinylic C–H activation of acrylates can be shaped in a designed manner, by providing just the right conditions, similar to shaping bonsai trees.

About the Cover:
The cover picture artistically portrays an electrocatalytic approach to 2,2'-biaryldicarboxylates and hydrogen gas. In an undivided cell equipped with Pt electrodes, a simple rhodium salt catalyzes the dehydrogenative C−H/C−H coupling of benzoic acids. The reaction takes place at ambient conditions and is easily scalable (designed by Jonas F. Goebel with the assistance of Gregor Heinrich).
