This was the Faculty Day 2022

The first Faculty Day of the Medical Faculty, organized by the Commission for Young Scientists, was a complete success. All clinics, institutes and chairs of Bochum University Medicine were called upon to present themselves with their research and doctoral topics on posters. On October 14, 2022, more than 250 people participated. 150 students were able to inform themselves about doctoral and current research topics at more than 50 posters and to talk to scientists.

The students were able to meet PhD supervisors and talk to PhD students about their experiences. The program was rounded off by presentations on formal doctoral requirements and on the different demands of clinical and preclinical doctoral work. There was a lot of positive feedback from both poster exhibitors and students. The format of the Faculty Day was highly praised in terms of content. There was a lively exchange. There should definitely be a repetition. As soon as the new date is fixed, the information will be posted on the website.
