Russian dialects in East Siberia and Kamchatka

This page presents audio data from target communities and linguistic analysis of the varieties.  
Audio texts are segmented into short files that may be played or downloaded directly from from this site.  The description (to date a survey  of the Indigirka dialect spoken in the township of Russkoye Ustye, in Yakutia, is presented on the site) is is illustrated by  speech samples,  linked to audio files.   To open the desription (only in Russian) the computer should have Acrobat Reader (free download from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html ).

This page is not a final product and  will be gradually replenished by new data.
