Exchange with the City University of Hong Kong

For many years now, the English Department has maintained an exchange agreement with the Department of English at the City University of Hong Kong. The Chair of English Linguistics nominates up to 4 students per semester for participation in the exchange programme. Successful applicants get their tuition fees waived; however, the students are responsible for other expenses, including accommodation. To offset some of the costs, you may apply for the PROMOS scholarship.

To be considered for the exchange programme, please email your CV, an up-to-date transcript of records from eCampus, and a motivation letter to Prof. Dr. Christiane Meierkord. The academic year at the City University is divided into Semester A (September to December) and Semester B (January to May). Applications shall be submitted until the end of February for Semester A or until the end of July for Semester B. Applicants will be invited for an interview. If your initial application is successful, the university will assist you with further formalities, including the obtainment of visa.
