Dr. Aram Kehyayan

Research Interests

I’ve studied medicine in Bonn and am currently working as resident in the department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy at LWL University Hospital in Bochum, specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My research interests include Neuropsychoanalysis (especially operationalization of psychodynamic constructs) and trauma research. After my MD on neural correlates of repression, supervised by Nikolai Axmacher and Henrik Kessler, I am currently conducting follow-up studies on this topic and am also participating in the development of novel interventions in the treatment of Posttraumatic stress disorder, based on neurobiological models of PTSD.
