The 1st International Eclogite Symposium was organized by M. B. E. Mørk, E. J. Krogh and H. Austrheim in western Norway, August 24th-30th, 1987, and attended by 34 participants.The guidebook for the seven-day excursion was compiled by M. B. E. Mørk and E. J. Krogh and includes contributions by H. Austrheim, I. Bryhni, D. A. Carswell, S. J. Cotkin, S. J. Cuthbert, E. J. Essene, B. Jamtveit, L. G. Medaris, Jr., E. Mearns, M. B. E. Mørk, D. C. Smith, and J. W. Valley on localities of eclogite and garnet peridotite in western Norway between Bergen and Molde.
