We are pleased about our contacts with other institutions. Here we present photographic memories of talks and other events in which guests have given us new insights into the Chinese Garden and everything connected with it.
Dr. Yun Jiayan, assistant professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Tongji University, spent the autumn of 2024 as an academic guest at the Ruhr University. Her research focuses on classical Chinese gardens and their preservation and maintenance. While she was here she visited Chinese gardens in Europe, but of course with special attention to our own Chinese Garden.
During her stay she presented illuminating lectures at the Faculty of East Asian Studies. The photo below shows some of the audience of the talk she gave on 18 November 2024 about the conflict between plants and rocks in traditional Chinese gardens.
