Summary/Abstract |
The goal of the project is to develop adaptive SMA-surfaces
in analogy to the human skin, based on micro-structured
Ni-Ti-X thin films. Bistable SMA-thin film actuators and
free-standing micro-structured SMA thin films will be
used as substructures in order to fabricate the
programmable and switchable surfaces. A model system
will be fabricated by assembling the substructures onto
a supporting matrix.
