PHD DISSERTATION:
My dissertation, "Embodied Remembering: Exploring the Subject in Episodic Recollection," investigated issues related to embodied remembering. More precisely, the four self-standing articles that compose this dissertation examine the role of embodied subjectivity in episodic memory cognition by bridging two philosophical fields, i.e., the philosophy of memory and the phenomenology of embodied subjectivity.
RESEARCH PROFILE
My research interests lie at the intersection of phenomenology, psychopathology and cognitive sciences. Currently, I focus on episodic and bodily memory, mental time travels and self-consciousness. I studied at the University of Catania, with a period as a visiting student at the University of Warsaw. In 2018-2019, I did a research internship at the Husserl Archive of the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, where I worked on Husserl's genetic phenomenology and the notion of inner-time consciousness.
