Acoustic data bases are sets of speech samples which can be retrieved according to a certain set of categories. As a rule they are, due to their size not to be transported without problems. We will therefore present only samples to stimulate information exchange betreen the author and the user.
As a first example of an acoustic data base with relevance to slavonic studies we present samples of the "Basic units of russian speech", published as a reader with audio cassette:
Bondarko L.V., Kuznecov V.I., Svetozarova N.D., Skrelin P.A. (1993): Fond zvukovyx edinic russkogo jazyka. Bjulleten´ foneticheskogo fonda russkogo jazyka, prilozhenie 3, Boxum - St. Peterburg.
We choose chapter 2A, words with complex structure, cf. the commentaries in the above mentioned publication, p. 34, 35. The material is presented in alphabetical order and can be heard comparing four versions each, speaker T (m., SPb), S (f., SPb), K (m., Moscow) und P (f., Moscow).
Further Information can be optained from L. V. Bondarko or Ch. Sappok
