NRW Undergraduate Award 2010
On the 23rd of November, the International Graduate School of Neuroscience awarded the 6th NRW Young Scientist Award for an outstandingpublication of an undergraduate.
Ms YunXiang Chu, an American student from the Harvard Medical School, Boston, received the award for her work
"Enhanced synaptic connectivity and epilepsy in C1q knockout mice", PNAS, 107,7975-7980, March 12, 2010.
All award winners from the NRW Graduate Schools were presented with their prizes in Düsseldorf by Dr Walther Pelzer, Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of Northrhine Westphalia.
Prof. Sen Cheng, member of the directory board of the IGSN hosted YunXiang Chu`s colloquium at the IGSN and awarded her the IGSN prize. He also delivered the laudatio for Ms Chu in Düsseldorf.
Many thanks to all of you that came to Düsseldorf. It was good to see the IGSN strongly represented.
