NRW Undergraduate Award 2009
On the 20th of November, the International Graduate School of Neuroscience awarded the 5th NRW Young Scientist Award for an outstandingpublication of an undergraduate.
David Kremer, an assistant doctor at the University Clinic for Neurology in Düsseldorf, received the award for his work "p57kip2 is
dynamically regulated in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and interferes with oligodendroglial maturation", PNAS, 106 (22) 9087-92 (2009)
All award winners from the NRW Graduate Schools were presented with their prizes in Düsseldorf by the Dr Michael Stückradt, Staatssekretär of the
Ministry of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology of Northrhine Westphalia.
Our director Prof Denise Manahan-Vaughan hosted the event and delivered the laudation for David Kremer.
On the 19th of November our speaker Prof Jörg T. Epplen hosted David Kremer's a colloquium at the IGSN and awarded him the IGSN prize.
Many thanks to all of you that came to Düsseldorf. It was good to see the IGSN strongly represented.
