50th PhD in the IGSN
On the 30th of October 2008, there was cause to celebrate in the IGSN, as the 50th PhD defence took place since its formation in 2001. This celebration was something of a milestone for the International School of Graduate Neuroscience and also a tribute to just how successful it has become.
The lucky 'defendee' was Marek Barwinski, who successfully defended his thesis "A neurocomputational model of memory acquisition for novel faces" and thus became the 50th graduate of the IGSN. We would like to pass on our heartfelt congratulations to both Marek for obtaining his PhD and to the IGSN for having surpassed everybody's expectations since its foundation.
