IGSN/SFB 1280 Conference 2020
Partner for this year's international IGSN conference was the SFB 1280 "Extinction Learning" (speaker: Prof. Onur Güntürkün). The SFB 1280, with members of the Ruhr University and the University of Duisburg-Essen, has two educational partners: the IGSN and the Graduate School of Biomedical Science (BIOME) (at the University of Duisburg-Essen).
We warmly welcomed doctoral researchers from BIOME, who together with doctoral researchers from the IGSN acted as hosts and presented their posters at the poster sessions and their ideas in the brainstorming sessions. Twelve doctoral researchers from the IGSN and BIOME introduced the scientific fields of the conference sessions in short presentations and looked after our guests during the conference. This is a lively collaboration within the UA Ruhr!
Again the IGSN hosted 12 international scientists, at this event. Networking was also on the agenda: the "Brainstorming Sessions" offered our doctoral researchers the opportunity to meet and swap ideas with our guests. Over 140 guests attended the conference and made these two days a memorable event.
Our thanks go to the Young Researchers from the SFB 1280 and doctoral researchers from the IGSN who organized and hosted the event. Thank you for your efforts and ideas!
