Module 2: Doctoral candidate
The module for doctoral students aims to prepare participants for the post-doctoral phase by supporting the planning of this phase and acquiring skills for a scientific career in the form of seminars and workshops.
Framework of the module for doctoral candidates:
The module for doctoral candidates is aimed at all female doctoral candidates of the Medical Faculty.
A second round of the PhD module will start in spring 2023!
The term is one year and three months.
In total, a maximum of 10 participants are accepted in the doctoral module.
Within the framework of peer mentoring, the mentees meet every 1 to 2 months in the sense of a collegial consultation.
At the beginning, all participants are provided with a paper copy of the "DocYouMent" developed by us. It serves to record the results of the mentoring and to reflect on further career planning. In addition, the DocYouMent can be used by the mentees to provide a framework for the peer mentoring meetings.
Content of the doctoral candidates module:
At the beginning, a kick-off event takes place, which, framed by content-related lectures, opens our mentoring programme "DocYouMent".
Within the framework of peer mentoring, the mentees meet every 1 to 2 months in the sense of a collegial consultation.
A total of 4 workshops will be offered to all participants.
In addition to the workshops, there will be evening lectures by experts at regular intervals, which the mentees can attend together with the mentees from the other DocYouMent modules.
