Annual Academic Celebration 2024
Dear members and relatives, alumni and alumnae, friends and supporters of Ruhr University Bochum,
it gives me great pleasure to invite you to this year's Academic Anniversary Celebration:
25. Academic Annual Celebration on Wednesday, November 20 at 5 p.m. in the Audimax of Ruhr University Bochum
This year, our celebration is dedicated to the topic of digitalization: From the digitalized administrative process to the development of AI language models in teaching or the cutting-edge research in our Cluster of Excellence CASA at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security - our everyday work in research, teaching and administration is permeated by digitalization.
This year's keynote speaker is researching the topic of informational self-determination in the digital space:

The event will be accompanied by music from Prof. Dr. Ivan Habernal and his jazz quartet.
Following these diverse impulses, we offer ample opportunity for a lively exchange and invite you to a reception with cool drinks and a snack.
As in previous years, the group of our former RUB employees will also meet in a separate lounge on the fringes of the Academic Anniversary Celebration - you are welcome to drop by there too.
