THz spectroscopy a sensitive tool to probe solute-induced changes in the collective water network motions. Time-resolved THz spectroscopy investigates the solvation dynamics of biological processes such as protein folding, enzyme activity, water dynamics and calorimetry.
Molecules are embedded in ultracold, superfluid helium nanodroplets at 0.37 K to investigate their structure and dynamics. Microsolvation and microaggregation of molecular clusters are studied using high-resolution infrared spectroscopy.
